On this week in History...
On June 25th, 1950 the Korean War started when Communist backed North Korea crossed the 38th Parallel and drove towards the South Korean capital of Seoul. United States troops (with the aid of the U.N.) was able to repel this attack and drove North of the 38th Parallel before China entered the War on the side of North Korea. The war lasted for three bloody years before a ceasefire agreement was reached.
Next month will mark the 100th Anniversary of the start of WWI (July 28th 1914)
